Panel Nuts are thin nuts with smaller than normal surface areas.
Commonly used on switch mounts, volume controls and electrical fixtures, Fastener SuperStore offers these parts in steel with a zinc coating. Corrosion resistance is not usually a concern with panel nuts as they are almost exclusively used in places where moisture and other corrosion factors are not present.
Panel Nuts are sized according to their diameter-thread count, then their thickness, then the width across the flats of the outside on the nut. For example, 3/8-32 x 3/32″ (7/16″ AF).
